ZTE, Reliance Ink US$700mln Telecom Equipment Deal in India

Chinese ZTE has been awarded a three-year, US$700-million contract by India's Reliance Communications. Under the agreement, ZTE will help Reliance build 1,037 3G base stations and 3,300 GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) base stations and supply 2.5 million CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) mobile phones, receivers, and soft switches to Reliance.
